CHON BURI -- A Russian national wanted in his homeland on a major drug charge has been arrested in Bang Lamung district, where he has been in hiding for over three years. Pol Lt Col Tawatchai Nongbua, deputy chief of Chon Buri immigration police, identified the man as Dmitry Filipsin, 27. They learned that Mr Filipsin lived in a house in tambon Huay Yai of Bang Lamung district with his Russian wife. Pol Lt Col Tawatchai said Mr Dimitry tried to resist arrest, saying he held dual nationalites, but his claim failed to convince police. He was initially charged with having in his possession and using a fake passport and would be held pending legal proceedings.
